Process Flow

STEP 01

Aluminum material

Aluminum material used for production, with material composition meeting RoHS requirements.

STEP 02

Melt

Put the aluminum block into a constant temperature natural gas boiler and melt it into liquid aluminum to match the next die-casting process.

STEP 03

Die-casting

Transfer the refined aluminum liquid to the insulation furnace, and then inject the aluminum liquid into the preheated mold through the injection system of the die-casting machine. The injection part uses the energy of the hydraulic system to push the punch and push the molten metal into the mold cavity. The aluminum liquid injected into the mold crystallizes and solidifies under high pressure, forming a casting. After the casting is completely solidified, open the mold and remove the casting from the mold using the picking mechanism.

STEP 04

Disposal handle slag bag

Stamping machines remove residual slag, material handles, and material heads from the product by placing the formed product in a mold and applying pressure between the upper and lower halves of the mold.

STEP 05

Blasting

Using high-speed moving micro pellets to continuously impact the surface of the workpiece, removing burrs and aluminum slag residues, forming a compressive stress layer through projectile impact, and improving the fatigue resistance and wear resistance of the workpiece.

STEP 06

Fine machining

Designers use UG software to create 3D models of products, and then program the product dimensions based on the tolerance requirements of the product's process drawings. The program is then converted into CNC compatible numerical control code (such as G code). These codes guide the machine tool to execute precise cutting paths, feed rates, and tool motion trajectories. According to the material, shape, and processing requirements of the parts, select a suitable CNC machine, install and calibrate the cutting tools, and finally install the fixtures to ensure that the workpiece is fixed and stable to prevent offset during the processing. Once all the preparation work is completed, the CNC machine can execute the machining task according to the preset CNC program. The machining process is fully automated, and the tool cuts the material according to the set trajectory until the part is formed.

STEP 07

Finished product inspection

According to the tolerance dimensions in the product process diagram, the three-dimensional position of the precision machined product can be determined with a measurement accuracy of micrometer level, which can evaluate the dimensional tolerance, geometric tolerance (such as parallelism, coaxiality, etc.), and ensure that the workpiece meets the design requirements.

STEP 08

Package

Pack the components obtained from each process in neat compartments and place them in rubber frames for subsequent shipment.

Mould 3D design

Conduct structural analysis on customer products to evaluate die casting feasibility such as draft and wall thickness uniformity，Design pouring system and cooling system. Using UG software to establish the 3D model of die, analyze the die flow, simulate the filling process of aluminum liquid and reduce the bubble defects.

STEP 02

Procurement of materials and standard components

Purchase the raw material block with proper size according to the requirements of mould design.

STEP 03

Cut the rough material and start rough machining (This process is completed by the material supplier)

At the initial stage of part manufacturing, the raw material (H13/SKD61/8407/) is cut into a blank in an efficient and economical manner, and the blank is ground smooth with a grinding machine to meet the requirements of plane roughness. This process is completed by the material supplier)

STEP 04

Heat treatment （This process is outsourced）

Through quenching, tempering and other processes, the heat treatment industrial furnace improves the hardness and toughness of the die steel, eliminates the stress generated by the steel in the processing process, and increases the service life of the die.（This process is outsourced）

STEP 05

Mold frame, mold core, insert CNC machining

The dimension, shape and surface roughness of parts such as die core are controlled within the design requirements (such as tolerance ± 0.01mm) through the CNC machining center to ensure the final accuracy and functional performance and decide whether the mould can stably produce qualified products.

STEP 06

Drilling and tapping

Grind the surface of the die frame with a grinder, drill and tap the die frame efficiently and quickly with a rocker drill, and remove burrs from the holes with a manual lathe. These holes are typically used for lifting and pulling dies and for assembly.

STEP 07

Electrical Pulse Machining （This process is outsourced）

Electric spark machining (EDM) accurately processes the dead angles that cannot be reached by the CNC tool through the contour of the "profile" electrode to ensure the high precision and integrity of the die. （This process is outsourced）

STEP 08

Wire cutting processing （This process is outsourced）

Removal of metal by wire cutting relies on electric discharge, which is not limited by workpiece hardness. Slide block for machining die. The cutting part is a shaped block, which is convenient for recycling or reuse and is very economical.（This process is outsourced）

STEP 09

Die assembly

Assemble, position, fix and debug the processed mould parts according to the design requirements, and finally form a complete and normal mould.

STEP 10

Trial molding

Test mold is to verify the manufacturing quality of mold to ensure the stability and efficiency of subsequent batch production. Batch production samples of the same material shall be used, critical dimensions shall be measured with a three-coordinate measuring instrument, and drawing tolerances compared. Sort out the complete mould test report and record the best process parameters and product defects. Provide basis for mold repair and batch production.

STEP 11

Delivery

The mould is delivered to the customer with the test report.
